Description
Amiferon is a purposeful combination of therapeutic agents designed to improve the function of various systems of the body whereby invigorating the enfeebled, exhausted and ailing body.
Casein hydrolysate is milk protein one of the best sources of protein as it contains all the essential amino acids, has high bio- availability (96%) and high net protein utilization.
B-complex vitamins are water-soluble vitamins that act as enzymes at various stages in the chemical breakdown of nutrients to release energy.
Ferrous gluconate has 12% elemental Iron which is essential for the formation of haemoglobin.
Zinc improves diminished taste perception. It has also been suggested that changes in nucleic acid metabolism induced by Zinc deficiency may limit protein biosynthesis,growth and tissue regeneration.

Dosage and Administration
The usual dosage is 15 ml twice or thrice daily, preferablyafter meals.
Amiferon Plus has an excellent taste, however sine the quantity of Ferrous Gluconate is 200 mg some metallic taste may be noticed by some patients.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the ingredients Mal-absorption.
Adverse Effects
Amiferon Plus is usually very well tolerated. Side effects are very few and mainly due to the ferrous component of Amiferon Plus and include gastric irritation and constipation. Gastric irritation can be minimized by taking Amiferon Plus after meals.
