Normec T Tablet
Each film coated tablet contains :
Norfloxacin I.P. : 200 mg
Tinidazol I.P : 300 mg

Norfloxacin I.P. : 400 mg
Tinidazol I.P : 600 mg
Normec M Suspension
Each 5 ml contains :
Norfloxacin. : 100 mg
Metronidazole : 100mg
Description
Normec T Tablet : Norfloxacin is a synthetic broad spectrum antibacterial agent for oral administration. It belongs to fluoroquinolone group of antibacterials.
Normec T Forte Tablet : Tinidazole is a nitroimidazole which has antimicrobial action against the protozoa - Giardia lamblia & Entamoeba histolytica and T. Vaginalis and against obligate anaerobic bacteria.
Normec M Suspension : Antibacterial, anti-diarrhoeal useful in diarrhoea and dysentery of bacterial, amoebic or of mixed origin. The bitterness normally associated with Norfloxacin has been masked using a special technique. Metronidazole is used as Metronidazole benzoate which has an acceptable taste. This makes Normec M Suspension really delicious and well accepted by children.
Indications
- Mixed diarrhoea
- Diarrhoea due to unknown organisms.
- Intra-abdominal abscess.
- Appendicitis
- Biliary Tract Infections
- Wound infection in diabetic patients
- Oro dental infections
- Pelvic inflammatory Diseases
- Salpingitis
- Postoperative gynecological infections
Normec M Suspension : (Indications)
- In diarrhoea and dysentery of
- Bacterial origin
- Amoebic origin
- Or of mixed origin
Dosage and Administration
Tablet NORMEC T / NORMEC T FORTE should be taken at least 1 hr before or 2 hours after meals or milk ingredient
Usual dosage in Adults :
1 tablet twice daily of NORMEC T FORTE for 5 days.
Children:
1 tablet twice daily of NORMEC for 5 days
NORMEC M SUSPENSION : To be calculated on basis of Norfloxacin
Contraindication
(a) History of hypersensitivity to Tinidazole or to Norfloxacin.
(b) Pregnancy and lactation.
Normec M Suspension : Sensitivity / allergy to any of the ingredients
Adverse Effects
Generally well tolerated ; metallic taste, nausea, vomiting, headache can occur.

Normec T : Strip of 10 tablets, box of 10 Strips.
Normec T Forte : Blister of 10 tablets, box of 6 Strips.
Normec M Suspension : Bottle of 30 ml
