Each uncoated tablet contains: Paracetamol I.P. 500 mg
MECMOL FORTE SUSPENSION
Each 5 ml contains: Paracetamol I.P. 250 mg

Description
Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) belongs to a group of drug known as Non steroidal anti inflammatory drug(NSAID), although it itself has no anti - inflammatory activity Acetaminophen is a clinically proven analgesic / antipyretic. Paracetamol is equal to aspirin in analgesic and antipyretic effectiveness and it is unlikely to produce many of the side effects associated with aspirin and aspirin containing products. It does not produce gastric irritation, erosion or bleeding.

Indications
Mecmol provides fast effective temporary relief of fever and discomfort due to cold and ‘flu’. It is also widely used to provide relief of pain and discomfort due to simple headache, minor muscle aches, sprains and over exertion.

Dosage and Administration
Mecmol tablets should be taken with liquid. All dosages may be repeated every 4 hours to a maximum dosage of 4.0 gms. per day in adults. Dosage in children are 60 mg/kg body weight in four divided doses.

Contraindication
(1) Hypersensitivity to Paracetamol.
(2) Hepatic failure since it is metabolized in liver and can aggravate hepatic failure.

Adverse Effects
Paracetamol is very well tolerated. Adverse reaction are mild and infrequent. Skin reaction and other allergic reaction occur occasionally.

MECMOL TABLET : Blister of 10 tablets, box of 20 Strips.
MECMOL FORTE SUSPENSION : Bottle of 60 ml.
