Each uncoated tablet contains :

Ibuprofen I.P.	400 mg
Paracetamol I.P.	500 mg
Racemethionine USP	50 mg

Dolomec Suspension
Each 5 ml contains :

Ibuprofen I.P.	100 mg
Paracetamol I.P.	500 mg
Paracetamol I.P.	125 mg

Description
Ibuprofen belongs to a group of drugs known as Non steroidal anti inflammatory drug(NSAID), and is a clinically proven anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic. Ibuprofen is a propionic acid derivative and one of the safest NSAID.

Dolomec tablet/suspension is very widely used because it has very good analgesic and antipyretic action of Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) combined with excellent analgesic, anti-inflammatory activity of Ibuprofen.

Dolomec acts at two levels. Paracetamol acts centrally and Ibuprofen acts peripherally providing effective control of Pain, Fever and Inflammation.

Racemethionine prevents possible hepato-toxicity that may be caused by large scale consumption of Paracetamol. Normally the Paracetamol metabolite is detoxified by glutathione. Hepatotoxicity occurs when glutathione levels are depleted. Racemethionine is converted in the liver to cystine, which is an important precursor to glutathione.

Dosage and Administration
Adults : 1 tablet 3 or 4 times a day
Children : 1/2 – 1 teaspoonful 3 or 4 times a day.

Contraindications
(1) Hypersensitivity to Paracetamol / Ibuprofen.
(2) Hepatic failure since Paracetamol is metabolized in the liver
(3) Severe Acid peptic ulcer disease

Adverse Effects
Dolomec is usually well tolerated; few patients may have mild epigastric pains. In few patients of bronchial asthma, an attack of bronchial asthma may be precipitated.

Dolomec Tablet : Blister of 10 tablets, box of 20 Strips.
Dolomec Suspension : Bottle of 60 ml
